Kannon Falls (Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture)

Kannon Falls is a 40m-high tiered waterfall that hangs over the Takigawa River in the upper reaches of the Tamashima River, which flows through the northern part of Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture.

Kannon Falls is also known as “Otoko Falls” because of the way it falls violently. Next to the waterfall is the Ikume Kannon (Waterfall Kannon), which is said to be beneficial for eye diseases.

Daisen Falls (Kotoura Town, Tottori Prefecture)

It is a two-tiered waterfall that hangs over Jigokudani, halfway between Mt. Karasuga and Mt. Sanko, at the upper reaches of the Kasejagawa River, which originates from the eastern part of Mt. Daisen’s Kengamine. The total height is 42 meters. The height of each drop is 28 meters on the upper level and 14 meters on the lower level.
